Invicta Vibrators is a division of Grantham Engineering Ltd and is based (as the name suggests) in Grantham, England. All of our commercial and manufacturing operations are undertaken on our Grantham premises and it is from here that we export our vibrators to customers through out the world.
Unlike conventional squirrel cage electric motors, vibrators are subject to high 'g' forces, have high start up torques and run at higher temperatures. For these reasons we at Invicta, design, specify and manufacture every component which is incorporated into our equipment.
All windings used in Invicta vibrators are manufactured on site at Grantham where we are able to produce designs for the many different voltages and frequencies found on working sites throughout the world. After assembly every winding is individually inspected and tested to ensure that it is free from fault or defect.
We further use a rotary trickle impregnation process to infuse a polyester resin into all the slots and into all loops of copper wire inside the winding. This resin when heated above a critical point will solidify which will then bind all the individual wires together. This process eliminates any internal movement and fretting of individual wires which could result in the premature failure of the winding.
All structural members are designed and analysed in house to ensure that internal stress levels are kept to acceptable levels. This is achieved by using the latest 3D software design packages. Bearings are all specified to C3 clearance and are individually specified for a defined L10 life.
We believe that quality and reliability are essential features of every vibrator we manufacture and to ensure strict compliance with specification we machine all raw components in our own factory. We employ the latest CNC machining centres and lathes and constantly re-invest in new machine tools to ensure we achieve the highest accuracy and efficiency.
